Hi I'm Nicola

I've been in long term relationships. I've been long term single. I've had my fair share of heart breaks and betrayals.

Through it all I remain a believer that happy, healthy relationships impact the quality of our lives.

You're here because...

You want to experience more love, security, pleasure, and fun. Maybe you married young, and now, after two decades, you’re wondering how to reconnect in the present. Or perhaps you’re newly single in your 30s or 40s, worried about a fading libido, and wanting to feel passionate again as you step into something new.

Whether you’re trying to repair your relationship, deepen what you already have, or start fresh in a healthy way, I want to help. With years of experience and research-backed insights, I guide people through the ups and downs of intimacy and connection.

Who am I?

I'm Nicola Foster and I'm a passionate advocate for intimacy in the bedroom and out. I'm a qualified relationship and psychosexual therapist, based in Somerset in the UK. I work with couples (and other relationship structures) and individuals. I walk this path too. I practice what I teach, and my own relationships—like yours—have their challenges and joys. Through one-to-one sessions, online courses, my podcast Intimacy Matters, and in-person intimacy workshops, I share the best of what I know.

My goal? To help you create a life filled with love, meaning, and deep connection.

My work interweaves mind, body, heart, soul and sex. Here are some things you might like to know about me!

📚 I’m a total bibliophile - if you love Esther Perel, Gina Ogden, John Welwood, David Richo, Thomas Moore - you’re in the right place.

🧘 I’ve spent years learning how to occupy my body. I used to be stuck in my head. I love to share the latest discoveries about mind-body connection that I learn through my own practices of meditation, yoga, dance, somatic experiencing and The Wheel of Consent practices.

🫶 I believe that relationship work is soul work.

❤️‍🔥 I have healed from the sexual shaming of a Catholic upbringing and now I feel called to share about the innocence and healing potential of our natural sexuality.

My training

One of my top values is learning, so I'm always studying and growing my knowledge of relationships, therapy and trauma. I have completed modules 1 and 2 of Somatic Attachment Training experience (SATe / DARe) with Diane Poole Heller. I am also a School of Being teacher having studied and trained with acclaimed relationship and intimacy teacher Jan Day since 2010.I have completed the Developmental Model training with Ellyn Bader. I have completed Consensual Non Monogamy Level 1 with Martha Kuappi and studied on Consensual Non Monogamy 2 with Martha. I'm inspired by the work other brilliant relationship teachers including Esther Perel, Stan Tatkin, John Welwood, Harville Hendrix and David Schnarch.
